Hello. My name is Mrs. Alexander and this is my seventh year here at South Ripley High. I currently teach Earth and Space Science, Advanced Earth & Space Science, PLTW Human Body Systems, and Biology I. In addition to my teaching duties, I also serve as a Science Club and Sunshine sponsor and I participate in the Teachers as Advisors Program. I am a graduate of Trimble County High School, which is located in Bedford, KY. I received a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Geology from Western Kentucky University in 2001. I completed the Transition to Teaching Program at Hanover College in 2005 in order to receive my certification.
In 2008, I was selected as a National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Bayer Fellow. Through this program I was able to participate in a wide variety of professional development activities and received an all expense paid trip to the NSTA National Conference in New Orleans.
I currently live in Madison with my husband, three dogs and one cat. When I am not here at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, going to concerts, and attending plays.
