Our committed and caring staff has helped us to achieve an “A” rating from the Indiana Department of Education and earn AdvancED Accreditation as a Quality School System from the North Central Association. We are focused on integrating technology into the classroom to prepare our students for success in the 21st Century. We have a Four Star Junior High School and have been a leader in ISTEP+ growth in Southeastern Indiana. Our graduating seniors earned over 900 college credits while in high school through our articulation agreements with Indiana colleges. South Ripley is a district on the rise and a great place for your children to attend. Come check us out and Catch the Excitement at South Ripley Schools!
The South Ripley Community supports our school district in many ways. We have received generous grants from the Tyson Versailles Fund, Ripley County Genesis: Pathways to Success and the Rising Sun Regional Foundation to name a few. These grants have helped us in many ways, but in particular with our 1:1 Technology Initiative. We partner with the Town of Versailles to provide a School Resource Officer and have a great relationship with the South Ripley Ministerial Association. Our local businesses and civic organizations support our graduates by awarding multiple scholarships each spring and support our extracurricular programs through advertising opportunities. Our local farmers partner with our FFA organization to provide multiple opportunities for our students. Our school is a big part of our community and the community is very important to the success of our schools.
From our award winning FFA Chapter to our highly successful athletic teams, South Ripley offers a wide array of stellar programs. We have a comprehensive list of extracurricular activities to which students can belong including plays, publications, videography and more. We offer a large number of interscholastic athletic teams with the recent additions of swimming and bowling. We have been recognized as a Champions Together School by the IHSAA for our work with Special Olympics and offer multiple opportunities in our music department. We prepare our students for college and careers through our multiple dual credit courses and a strong partnership with the Southeastern Career Center. Our 1:1 technology initiative has been supported by a $100,000 grant from the Indiana Department of Education and is producing students who are prepared for the next steps in their lives. We have everything you are looking for at South Ripley Schools!
