🌋 Today, the SRES 4th-grade class took over the Outdoor Learning Lab to test out their hand-made volcano creations. Activities like these give our students a hands-on, memorable way to explore science and earth systems. 🌋

Our amazing 4th graders have been hard at work learning all about landforms and Earth's changing surface! To bring their lessons to life, students got creative and built their very own miniature volcanoes.

The real excitement happens tomorrow! The outdoor classroom will transform into an eruption zone as students test out their creations and watch them blow their tops in a safe (and bubbly!) chemical reaction.

The Raiders Cross Country teams battled in Shelbyville today against 41 other schools in the Annual Small School Invitational. The boys team placed 13 out of 41! In a field of 262 runners, Mason Bascom led the Raiders with an impressive 26th-place finish. Carter Yelton followed in 55th, Saxton Hite finished 64th, and CJ Carter placed 78th. Owen Andrews and Ronan Kearney rounded out the Raider lineup. The Raiders improved 11 places from their 24th-place finish at this meet last year. From double training days to pushing through the extreme summer heat, this group is showing that their hard work is paying off and that Raider cross country is a program to watch this season. The Lady Raiders also ran great and Shaelyn placed 128 and Kaiden played 131. Great job ladies!
