5th Graders had a great time at the Indiana Reparatory Theater watching The Christmas Carol!

IDEM presented to Mrs Roepke's 5th grade classes on the water cycle. Students created bracelets representing parts of the water cycle to reenact the path different water droplets may take.







We want to send a big "thank you" to Mr. Myers (and Mr. Frey) for braving the cold to hang Christmas lights for our students today!

All students are welcome to join us in our 12 days of Christmas dress up days. Here they are in advance so you can prepare your outfits! We can't wait to see what everyone has in store.

Here's another reminder about our SRES Christmas Program. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will perform December 14 at 7 PM. We can't wait to hear what they've been working on!

Happy Thanksgiving from South Ripley Schools! Watch for our band director, Ellen Fennell, marching with the entry Saluting America's Band Directors in today's Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! Congrats, Ms. Fennell!

David Osborne, Purdue Extension Service Agent, presented a lesson on mammals and their structures. He brought in pelts and skulls of a variety of mammals for the 4th grade students to explore and research.




Thank you to United Way of Franklin County and Ripley County. Their generous donation of coats will help keep our students warm on the coldest days.

The third graders of SRES just rang in our Thanksgiving festivities with their annual balloon parade! Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, November 16, is our next scheduled Late Arrival PD Day. Students should arrive at school 2 hours later than normal and buses will be running 2 hours later than normal as well. School will end at the normal time in the afternoon.

Our students at SRES enjoyed getting to go to the high school for our Veterans Day Program. Thank you to all of the Veterans and their families for the sacrifices they've made so we can continue to be the Land of the Free.
