
The SR school board recognized two ORVC Mental Attitude Award winners at tonight's meeting. Congrats to softball player Julia Hilton and track runner Alexa Yeomans. Alexa was also recognized for being a sectional champ and state qualifier in the 100M hurdles! We are proud of you!



At tonight's school board meeting the board recognized the HS Archery Team and Coaches Buchanan and Burke for advancing to the National Shoot. Thanks to Elijah Smart and Saxton Hite for representing the archery team at tonight's meeting. Great job, archers!

Congratulations to Alexa for qualifying for state! She placed 2nd overall at the regional and set a new school record of 14.72! Great job, Alexa!!!


Our retirement luncheon was such a fun and positive way to end the 2024-25 school year! So many SR achievements to celebrate as well! Congratulations to Caroline Cumberworth, Gil Landwehr, Jeff Greiwe, and Rick Bales (Wanda accepted for him). Best wishes in retirement!





Congratulations to these outstanding seniors on receiving scholarships from the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and the Women's Auxiliary. We are very thankful to be supported by some of our community's best.

Congratulations to former SRES Cafeteria Manger Karen Burford on her retirement! She retired in December and stopped in today to receive her rocker and plaque! She is pictured with Food Service Director Farrah McCracken. Best wishes, Karen!

Mrs. Collins designed an amazing heart surgery lab for our Anatomy students at the high school. Students were given patients with specific heart diagnoses and learned about the use of ventilators, surgical tools, and procedures. Real sheep hearts were used to investigate valve failures as well! Thank you to Byron Saylor for taking the day to help our students learn about how to close up surgical procedures. Go Big Green!






Congratulations to our Drama Club on a fantastic opening performance of "Frozen Jr" yesterday afternoon. All of our Kindergarten students were able to take in the performance and meet their favorite characters!


Congratulations to all of the archers and coaches on an amazing season and they aren't even done yet! They are on their way to Nationals in Louisville on Thursday but celebrated together at the banquet tonight. Go Big Green!


Huge shoutout to the SRHS cafeteria ladies for organizing an amazing lunch for the kids today on Cinco de Mayo! We appreciate all you do in providing our students with healthy, creative food options!

Big night at the SR board meeting: Coach Beach and the Raiders basketball team were recognized for their historic season, SRHS senior Eric Antras was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Skillman Corp, and we welcomed Mr. Brent Ricke as our new Math teacher at SRHS for 2025-2026!




SRHS Junior, Angelea Love, has been named an Officer for the Indiana State SkillsUSA for the 2024-2025 year! She will represent South Ripley High School and the Career Center in trips around the United States at locations like Atlanta and Washington DC! We are proud of you Angelea!
