A great night was had out at SR last night as our Raiders beat Oldenburg 61-40. We were able to honor our teacher leaders, our Unified Athletes were outstanding , and our band/cheerleaders/student section proved why they are the best in the area! Go Big Green!
SRES has a fun opportunity for Valentine's cards this year. Barksdale is offering us personalized Valentine's cards with school pictures included. $12 gets you a booklet of 36 Valentine's. These packets will be coming home tomorrow (1/17). If you choose to keep them, you can pay online or send a check payable to Barksdale to school. If you do not wish to keep them, please return them to school.
BIG NEWS! For the first time in school history, the SR boys and girls basketball teams have swept the Ripley County Tournament championships! Congratulations to all players, coaches, and cheerleaders for an outstanding job! We have something special brewing at SRHS! Go Big Green!
The Music Department is starting our new fundraiser for the semester and we are selling Blankets!!!
Here is all the information about our fundraiser:
- There are two designs you may choose from:
- Heritage Camo
- Painted Pride
- The sizes for both of the blankets is a large 50" x 60".
- The material is a Super Soft Micro-Plush Material.
- They are machine washable.
- The cost is $35 and is bought through the following link or via the attached QR code.
- The end sale date will be changed to February 14th (Valentines Day).
- Once the fundraiser is over the blankets will be shipped to South Ripley about 45 days after February 14th. I will be sending out an email to all who purchased on when the pick up date and time will be. The location will be in room 32 (the band room) at the Junior High inside door 8.

At tonight's school board meeting Attorney Merritt Alcorn conducted the swearing in of returning board member Amy Miller and new board members Justin Sturgeon and Rachel Lawhorn as they begin their four-year terms. Thank to our board members for serving their community!

Due to weather conditions, all Ripley County tourney basketball games are canceled for today at Milan and tonight at SR . Girls round 1 will play on Monday at Milan. More info to come regarding the JV championship, consolation and championship games.

Breaking News: South Ripley High School has ranked #1 for the highest graduation rate out of the area 15 school districts in Southeastern Indiana!! We came in at 98.57% for the class of 2024! This is a huge accomplishment and we are proud of our students and staff. GO BIG GREEN!

As we prepare for hosting the Ripley County Tournament tonight, please keep the following things in mind:
1. Please do not part on the perimeter areas of the parking lots where snow has been plowed. We don't want our patrons getting stuck.
2. We will have door 3 open which is in the front of the building for patrons to enter if they park in the front parking lot.
3. We will have a shuttle bus that will run from South Ripley Elementary School's parking lot to door 3 for any overflow parking (if needed).
4. Our parking lots and sidewalks have been cleared and have been salted but please take your time and be careful walking to our building from your vehicle.

Just a quick update for today's events: the varsity swim meet at Switz Co has been canceled. The Ripley County tourney at SR is on. Batesville/JCD will play at 6:00. SR/Milan will play at approximately 7:30.
