SUN Bucks is a new benefits program that provides families a one-time payment of $120 for each eligible school-aged child to help purchase groceries during the summer. At tonight's school board meeting the South Ripley School Board appointed Melanie Evans as the next principal of South Ripley Junior High School. Congratulations, Melanie!

Our next wellness committee meeting will be next Tuesday, April 16 at 3:15 in Sandbox. During this meeting, we will review the goals that we set at our previous meeting, discuss ways we have promoted health this school year, and discuss further ideas for improvement.
Today's varsity softball game at Madison has been rained out. The make up date is 5/11. The varsity will play at 11:00, followed by the JV.
SRJHS 8th graders have been offered the opportunity to visit Batesville Tool and Die on May 15th. There won't be any fees/money involved for this field trip, so parent/guardian permission will be collected via Google Form. Please fill this out for your student to attend by May 1st. Thank you!

South Ripley has a lot to be proud of! Yesterday, Mr. Block, Mr. Herzog, and Mr. Lauber also presented in Indianapolis regarding SR's continuous effort toward improving student outcomes. We are thankful to have these educators representing SRES and South Ripley as a whole!
Today was a special day for SRJHS as Mrs. Lanter, Mrs. Dennis, and Mr. Hutton traveled to Indianapolis to present to a group of Indiana administrators on the SR Transition Teams effort towards improving student outcomes. These teacher leaders represented SR to the highest degree!

Career Center and Ivy Tech students are running on a normal schedule today.
Next week, all schools will be participating in Autism Acceptance Week. These dress-up days are for everyone to enjoy as we celebrate minds of all kinds!

This is a reminder to all Ivy Tech students that you are expected to attend your classes at Ivy Tech March 18-22nd. You are expected to ride South Ripley transportation, meaning you should not drive to Ivy Tech on your own. Please note that the 2nd 8 weeks classes start 3-18.
