SR worked together with Ripley County Court Services to provide our students an inspiring message of hope, determination, and perseverance today with a presentation by Tony Hoffman, professional BMX racer and Olympian!

7th and 8th grade students were able to hear from Brooke Williams with Lowe’s Distribution Center (North Vernon) today. Brooke is an HR Advisor, and she talked with the students about the various careers within Lowe’s and the benefits that go with those careers. Students also learned about the free educational opportunities that are also available to Lowe’s employees. Thank you, Brooke and Lowe’s!

We are incredibly grateful to United Way of Franklin and Ripley Counties Indiana for their generous donation of coats for our students at South Ripley! We appreciate all the hard work they do to support and strengthen our community!

Tomorrow is group/team/organization picture day for the yearbook at SRES. Please have your student bring the shirt/jersey of any organization they participate in!

South Ripley Junior High students in Mrs. Lanter’s Creative Writing class have all been selected for publishing! Recently, these students wrote thrilling mini-sagas for a writing contest titled “Fright Club” through the “Young Writers” program. Their works were chosen for publication based on their exemplary work. We, at SR, are very proud of these students and the imagination they all possess. Keep writing!
